More candidates put forward to stand for the East Sussex County Council

Jeremy Corbyn reminded us in his speech to Labour Party national conference that the Labour Party is a party for campaigning and protest and winning power. This  juxtaposition was evident last weekend – we were campaigning and petitioning for education in the centre of town. But on the same day members of the local executive had met to  interview and approve members who are putting themselves forward to stand as Labour Party candidates in the East Sussex County Council elections next year. Apart from candidates previously approved we are delighted that several new and older members have put themselves forward to stand for such positions – and were warmly approved.

Branches will be selecting who they wish to be their candidates later this month from a panel of enthusiastic and committed members.
