The Labour Party is a grassroots movement that relies on the generous donations of its members and the public. Your donations will help us campaign for a better future in Hastings and Rye by supporting our councillors in county, borough and district council elections, as well as help our Parliamentary Candidate Peter Chowney take the Hastings and Rye seat in the next General Election.
All donations through the button below go straight to our CLP. For other ways to donate contact our treasurer at:
With an early General Election called for December 12th 2019, this is important now more than ever to ensure that Peter Chowney is elected as Hastings and Rye MP on our platform to transform the UK economy, for the many not the few.
For the many, not the few.
This is our vision for a country that works for the many, not just the privileged few. With Labour, we’ll build a country where we invest our wealth to give everyone the best chance. That means building the homes we need to rent and buy, keeping our communities safe with more police officers, giving our children’s schools the funding they badly need, and restoring the NHS to its place as the envy of the world.
The Labour Party's foundations are built upon the backs of thousands hard working volunteers. Check out our events for ways to join up, get involved or donate to the local party. Donations are always welcome and are key to funding our election activities. Thank you to anyone who considers this.
In Hastings, there are two councils providing different local services. They are independent of each other, and make their decisions separately, with different councillors elected at different elections (the next county council elections will be
in 2021). Hastings Borough Council is a district council, and is based in Muriel Matters House, on the seafront. East Sussex County Council is based in Lewes. Generally, county councils provide fewer, more expensive services, while district councils provide more less expensive services.
