Jay says:
I have been a Councillor since 1998 and am Deputy Leader of Hastings Borough Council. I am the lead member for equalities, community and central services.
I have been proud to represent Tressell ward since 2002. During this time, I have chaired the Bridge Community Centre Trustees. The Bridge is a thriving Centre offering a range of activities for all ages; a community café and numerous training opportunities for all sections of the community.
I am an active member of the Ore Valley Forum where I have supported a number of initiatives such as the Adventure Playground; improving the educational opportunities for young people and working to combat anti social behaviour in the area.
I have a longstanding commitment to equalities and to ensuring that Hastings is a safe and welcoming place for everyone who lives, works or visits.
