Help us win

Volunteer

There are plenty of ways to support the Labour Party in Hastings & Rye. Perhaps you could help with a leaflet round, or help with canvassing (knocking on doors) and, of course, we can never have too many envelope stuffers!

So even if you haven’t much time to spare, there will still be lots of ways you can get involved. If you’d like to chat about what you can do, please get in touch.

Discuss, debate and decide

  • Local branch meetings
Party members can attend their local monthly branch meeting. There are five local meetings across the constituency – Rye, Central Hastings, East Hastings, North Hastings and West Hastings. Please contact us to find out where your local meeting is held. Attendees debate local and national political issues and policies. Local borough, district and county councillors regularly attend.

  • Constituency meetings
There is also a monthly meeting held at the Hastings & Rye constituency office (The Ellen Draper Centre, 84 Bohemia Road, St Leonards-on-Sea. TN37 6RN). All local branches send delegates to attend this meeting. Labour members who are not delegates can still attend but will not be able to vote. Our parliamentary candidate Sarah Owen attends.
