Hastings & Rother WASPI march Friday 16 September 10.45 from pier

Hastings & Rye Labour Party is pleased to publicise the march of Hastings & Rother branch of Women against State Inequality. It takes place on  Friday 16 September from the pier to the town hall. They meet at 10.45 for a 11 start. All welcome – please wear purple and black if you can.

The organisation is campaigning on behalf of women born in the 1950s who are no longer entitled to get their state pension at 60 AND who were given insufficient notice of these changes. As this flyer explains updated-waspi-2sheet-flyer (5)  the campaign is not calling for  a return to 60 but for fairer transitional arrangements.
