I have lived in Braybrooke Ward for over 25 years and was first elected as a Labour Borough Councillor in 2002 and was re-elected in 2004 and 2008. I work very closely with my fellow Labour ward councillor Godfrey Daniel, who is also the County Councillor for Braybrooke.
I was born in London and graduated with a BA(Hons) in Economics and Politics from Oxford University followed by a Masters degree from the University of Toronto. I have lived in Hastings since 1975, am married to Anna and am a director of an English Language school in the town.
On the Hastings Borough Council I am currently Chair of the Licensing Committee, a member of the Overview & Scrutiny Committee for Resources and I am on the Traffic Management Committee. I also sit by invitation on the Committee of the Friends of Alexandra Park and of the Hastings International Chess Congress. I am on the Committee of our local residents group, Better Braybrooke, which meets regularly to discuss and act on issues and problems which have been raised by people living in the ward.
If there are any problems in Braybrooke Ward that you are having difficulties with and you think that I can help then please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
