West Hill parking

The petition to residents around parking on the West Hill is collecting support and signatures and should be completed ready to be presented to Highways in the New Year.

28 Bus

The No. 28 bus there have been no further meetings as Stagecoach are unable to run the service any quicker than the 70 mins proposed so there will be no further changes nor any review by Stagecoach until the impact of the opening of the Queensway/Gateway happens in 2018.

Queens Arcade/Cambridge Gardens

Myself and Godfrey have been having meetings with the businesses and residents in the Queens Arcade and York Gardens regarding issues around anti social behaviour. We are investigating through Godfrey and county better lighting and resurfacing the roadway/pavements in York Gardens. I am picking up issues with planning enforcement around the general state of the buildings.

Pier administration

As you may have seen in the news the Pier is in difficulties financially and is now being run by an administrator. It is important to note that the council do not own or run the Pier and have, in the past, financially supported the Pier but there needs to be a clear plan in place to ensure that it is run as a viable business.

Homedane House visit

Myself, Godfrey and Leah will be visiting Homedane House and Holmebury House over the next 2 weeks and then Mount Pleasant Court and the Hermitage in the New Year.

Surgery at the Plough

We have a social/surgery planned on 11th December at the Plough on Priory Road from 6pm where myself and Godfrey will be there to answer and deal with any residents issues and to introduce Leah as the other candidate for Castle Ward in the Borough elections 2018.

White Rock area plans

The papers and recommendations on the future of the White Rock area are on the council website for people to read. No decisions have been taken at this stage but there will be a debate on the outcomes.

Castle Ward Forum

Castle Ward Forum is looking to having its AGM on 30th January at the White Rock Hotel starting at 7pm we are hoping to have a speaker and discussion about the White Rock consultation and all residents in Castle Ward are eligible to attend.
